Boston based violinist, Raluca Dumitrache enjoys a rich musical life as a recitalist, chamber musician, and teacher.
In her native country of Romania she has been featured as a soloist with the Jeunesse Musicales Orchestra at the Parliament Hall in Bucharest, the National Operetta Orchestra, the Lyceum String Orchestra, and has been broadcasted live on Romanian National Radio. Her orchestral experience includes concerts in Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Romania, France, Oman, the Netherlands, Mexico, and the United States
Ms. Dumitrache has performed at venues such as the Tonhalle Zurich Concert Hall and the Royal Opera House. She has also participated in international music festivals such as the Geminiani Music Festival (Italy), Round Top Music Festival (TX), Chautauqua Music Institute (NY), Heber Springs Festival (AK), Castleton Music Festival (VA), Belfort Music Festival (France), Palofoxiano Music Festival (Mexico), and Early Music Festival (Netherlands).
In 2010 she toured the United States in an all-star chamber orchestra assembled for the “75th Anniversary of Porgy and Bess,” and from 2010 to 2012 she performed under the baton of Maestro Maazel in the United States, Canada, and Oman.
Ms. Dumitrache has performed in master classes for Yfrah Neaman, Jorja Fleezanis and Jacques Israelievitch, and her principal teachers have included Irina Muresanu, James Alexander and Daniel Podlovsky.
Maintaining a very active concert career throughout New England, she is currently a member of the Cape Symphony and New Bedford Symphony and performs regularly with Portland Symphony (ME), Bach Beethoven Brahms Society and the Rhode Island Philharmonic.
Outside her classical career Ms Dumitrache also performed with the Trans Siberian Orchestra, Sarah Brightman, Hanson, Michael Bublé,The Who, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and Ramin Djawadi in the Game of Thrones Tour in Boston.
Ms. Dumitrache has over 12 years of teaching experience in her private studio and at conservatories in the Boston area.
She enjoys teaching violin and strives to be an example to her students, inspiring them to achieve their best. Currently, she is both a faculty member at 77 Arts Academy in Massachusetts and at Sinfonietta Strings in New Hampshire, Lexington Communication Education Center and Brookline Public Schools.
Ms. Dumitrache plays on a Paul Bailly french violin with a Stephane Tomachot bow.
